Dr. Kashif Jamil Ansari's journey into dentistry began with a simple observation growing up in Kolkata — most people he knew genuinely feared visiting the dentist. Not because dentistry was unkind, but because the experience had rarely been designed around the patient. That observation quietly became the mission behind his career.
After completing his BDS, he pursued advanced training in modern clinical protocols, adding a Masters in Hospital & Health Systems and specialised training with the Indian Dental Association (MIDA). Every year since, he has invested in continuing education — from rotary endodontics and CBCT-guided implantology to clear aligner therapy and paediatric behaviour management.
His philosophy is unusually straightforward: painless, patient-first, and unhurried. Local anaesthesia is always preceded by topical numbing. Every treatment plan is walked through in plain language before consent. Every price is written down in advance. And every child, however anxious, is met with the same patience he'd want for his own family.
"A dental visit shouldn't be something you brace for. If it is, we haven't done our job well enough."
— Dr. Kashif Jamil Ansari
Under his leadership, The Best Dental Clinic has grown from a single practice into three branches across Park Street, Beck Bagan and Kasba — each running on the same clinical protocols, the same sterilisation standards, and the same commitment to transparent pricing. Dr. Ansari personally reviews every implant and orthodontic case across the group.
He's especially proud of the dedicated Child Care unit at the Park Street branch, designed so a child's first dental visit becomes a happy memory rather than an anxious one. It reflects his belief that community dentistry begins with families — that if you take care of a child's first visit, you shape their relationship with dental care for life.
Beyond the clinic, he leads free dental camps in Kolkata neighbourhoods, mentors young dentists, and continues to write and teach on painless clinical protocols. But he'll tell you his favourite part of the day is still the routine one — sitting chairside, chatting with a patient, and quietly getting them through a treatment they had been dreading for months.
